Freeway Church Of Christ Hero Jack Wilson Thanks God For His Role In Church Security – Jack Gunned Down Church Terrorist With One Shot To The Head

(Gateway Pundit) – As reported earlier by Cassandra Fairbanks two people were killed and one person is in critical condition after a shooting at the West Freeway Church of Christ in northwest Texas.

The shooter was prevented from creating more carnage by armed members of the church, several of whom drew their own weapons in response to his attack, as well as a security guard. It has now been confirmed that the gunman was shot and is one of the two people killed.

No less than four church members, including one guard, pulled guns on the shooter before he caused more carnage!!

Guns Save Lives.

The shooter was dressed in black with a hood over his head before he started shooting.

The gunman was wearing a fake beard(?)

The church took the video down but it is still posted online here.

The head of church security Jack Wilson gunned down the terrorist with one shot to the head.

Jack Wilson posted a thank you on Facebook on Sunday afternoon after he gunned down the Freeway Church of Christ gunman with one shot to the head.

Jack Wilson is a church security member at the Freeway Church of Christ.

He thanked everyone for their prayers and thanked God for his role in church security where he was able so save numerous lives at the church.

I just want to thank all who have sent their prayers and comments on the events of today. The events at West Freeway Church of Christ put me in a position that I would hope no one would have to be in, but evil exist and I had to take out an active shooter in church.

I’m thankful to GOD that I have been blessed with the ability and desire to serve him in the role of head of security at the church. I am very sad in the loss of two dear friends and brothers in CHRIST, but evil does exist in this world and I and other members are not going to allow evil to succeed. Please pray for all the members and their families in this time. Thank you for your prayers and understanding.

  1. Hero? He was being paid to do a job that he was suppose to do. Clearly we throw the word hero around too freely. Even he said he was just doing his job. But I’m glad he did it.

    • Church security is an additional position within the church. My family members hold the same title, it’s an honor to protect, not benefits given.

    • No, he was not paid. All the security people at the Freedom Church are volunteers. Clearly you have no clue what a hero really is.

    • Although I understand what you are saying, I disagree with the premise. Do you forget the police office at the school in Florida? His job was to protect the students there, yet he was a coward who hid until the gunfire had stopped. I also consider the American soldiers who fight for my freedoms, Heroes and nothing less…..eventhough they are doing their “jobs”.

  2. Susan-ur right. The word hero is thrown around too loosely these days but what this man did fits the definition. How many people sitting in the middle of a church service that is interrupted by a hooded gunman shooting people has the bravery inside to jump up and fight back. I don’t think I do and I seriously doubt if someone like Susan would do anything but scream and run for an exit! The man is a hero in my book and at least u acknowledged the fact that ur glad he acted. Good on you, Jack Wilson!

  3. Susan, until YOU are in that kind of a situation I’d keep my snarky comments to myself if I were you. 1) It had been adequately stated that ALL members of the security team at this church are volunteers. 2) going toward gun fire immediately rather than seek cover IS an act of courage paid or unpaid. Been there done that. 3) All volunteers consider the task given during their service time as their “job”. 4) A true hero, as Mr. Wilson is, will always deflect the title of HERO. This is pretty normal behavior. Check any of the televised accounts of resent MEDAL OF HONOR ceremonies. Heroes tend to be very modest.
Many people will volunteer for protection duties as are security but very few people will react to the problem with speed, skill, and correct analysis. Nor will very many have the will to end another human life EVEN to save many others.

  4. if someone breaks into your house to rob & kill you- you call the police to save you- he is not a hero because he is being paid? a fireman goes in to your burning house to save your family– he is getting paid so he is not a hero?? I fought in the Vietnam war -I came home to lots of people like you that cussed us & called us vile names–gave us a “welcome home bag” that was full of dog crap- we fought for people like you that hated us- “we fought with out Americas support- we came home with out Americas welcome- we were brothers that will always be-“THE BEST THAT AMERICA HAD”—but we was getting paid so we were not called heros”?? maybe you need to wake up & realize that “heros” are just regular people that will put their lives in between danger & ungreatfull people like u are- ron sargent leftbehind

    • My father and son fought in wars. I never called a soldier vile. You’re barking up the wrong tree. Don’t get your panties so twisted.

  5. Thank you Jack for your courage to use your weapon to destroy that evil at work in the Lords house of worship. I’m grateful for men like you who stand up and fight for righteousness.

  6. Thank you Mr Wilson! It was heroics act! You are definitely a big time HERO! It is a real proof why good American citizens have to keep theirs guns for protection.

  7. I would say I want Jack on my side…….

But Who I really want on my side is GOD…….

For such a nice head shot at a bit of distance, I kinda think God was steadying Jack’s hand and mind for the task at hand……

Please, Lord, take churches off the “hit list” of the crazies. Give the crazies Your heart and love. Make it safe for us to worship You, even though You do not promise us that.
