(Right Country) – As we all recall, the media was the biggest driving factor behind the Trump-Russian collusion hoax. They ran stories that were never verified, stories based on lies and inaccurate facts, and stories that were just blatantly made-up and completely false.
One of those made-up stories was the narrative that the 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskya was the smoking gun proving collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
Turns out, thanks to the testimony of one little-known translator, named Anatoli Samochornov, we now know the definite truth about this meeting and it’s not good news for the Deep State.
John Solomon breaks down the truth:
The most scintillating information Mueller’s team ascribed to Samochornov in the report was a tidbit suggesting a hint of impropriety: The translator admitted he was offered $90,000 by the Russians to pay his legal bills, if he supported the story of Moscow attorney Natalia Veselnitskya. He declined.
But recently released FBI memos show that Samochornov, a translator trusted by the State Department and other federal agencies, provided agents far more information than was quoted by Mueller, nearly all of it exculpatory to the president’s campaign and his eldest son.
Despite learning the translator’s information on July 12, 2017, just a few days after the media reported on the Trump Tower meeting, the FBI would eventually suggest Donald Trump Jr. was lying and that the event could be seminal to Russian election collusion.
Samochornov’s eyewitness account entirely debunks the media’s narrative, the FBI memos show.
“Samochornov was not particularly fond of Donald Trump Jr., but stated Donald Trump Jr.’s account with Veselnitskya as portrayed in recent media report, was accurate,” according to the FBI 302 report on its interview of the translator. “Samachornov concurred with Donald Trump Jr.’s accounts of the meeting. He added ‘they’ were telling the truth.”
The media went wild with this story and ran it as though it was the most damning piece of evidence in the history of the world. They convinced millions of Americans that Donald Trump was actually colluding with Russia to rig our election all based off the false account of this meeting.
The media narrative at the time was that the meeting might be a key piece of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia: Trump Jr., brother-in-law Jared Kushner, and then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort were all lured to a meeting by the Russian lawyer Veselnitskya supposedly to talk about Russian dirt on Hillary Clinton.
Trump Jr.’s account, ridiculed by the media and Democrats at the time, was that the short meeting ended up being about a Russian lobbying campaign to change adoption practices under a U.S. human rights law that punished Moscow and other foreign bad actors known as the Magnitsky Act.
Here’s an example of the sort of accusations that were being lodged against Trump Jr.
Samochornov was one of the few eyewitnesses to the meeting: He was hired by Veselnitskya to act as a translator on her law work and attended the Tower confab as such. His account to the FBI undercut the false collusion narrative.
“Samochornov could not speak about other occasions, but said there was no discussion about the 2016 United States presidential election or collusion between the Russian government and the Trump campaign at the meeting,” the FBI reported.
“There was no smoking gun, according to Samochornov. There was not a discussion about dirt on Hillary Clinton. Samochornov did not think Hillary Clinton was mentioned by name at the meeting,” the FBI report added. “Samochornov had not heard Veselnitskya say anything about having ‘dirt’ on Hillary Clinton. Veselnitskya did not offer any materials during the meeting and no papers were exchanged.”
As we have known for quite some time now, the mainstream media cannot be trusted. They are the propaganda arm of the Deep State who have been desperately trying to destroy President Trump since before he won the election.
If you or anyone you know still thinks they can trust what the likes of outlets like CNN, MSNBC, or NBC have to say, it’s really long past time to wake up. Anybody still subscribing to their nonsense is a liability to our republic.
