(Right Country) – Democrats are working overtime to officially squash personal liberty on a national level. Mask mandates have become the hot button topic of the day and many governors, on both sides of the aisle, have issued mask mandates for their states requiring residents to mask up whenever they are in public.
Of course, this is a complete violation of our personal liberties and freedom of choice. Naturally, the “my body, my choice” argument only applies to pregnant women who are looking to abort the living baby’s body inside of them. Mask mandates are for the “greater good” and Democrats have managed to convince their lockstep supporters that either they mask up or risk dying. The world will be saved one mask at a time.
Of course, this is all a sham, just like most everything the Democrats stand behind. They say it isn’t a political issue yet it’s funny how the Democrats all seem to uniformly support the mask mandates and other draconian, unconstitutional rules while Republicans, for the most part, are concerned with our freedoms and liberties.
Look no further than Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) for proof that it is indeed a political issue. Feinstein announced in a news release that she is attempting to exclude people from the next coronavirus relief bill who live in states that do not have an official mask mandate. Is this even America?
In the news release she lamented on the fact that 41 states have seen increases in coronavirus cases and even gave statistical information (albeit likely inflated and false information) but interestingly made no mention of deaths. That’s because deaths have slowed in most areas and all but stopped in others. Of course, this just doesn’t jive with the leftist narrative that the virus is literally life-threatening to anyone it comes in contact with so the show must go on.
“Wearing masks in public should be mandatory. Period. Leader McConnell said the Senate will take up the next coronavirus economic relief bill later this month. At that time, I intend to offer an amendment to prohibit sending funds to states that haven’t adopted a statewide mask requirement,” Feinstein said in the release.
“The situation is getting worse daily. Several states including California, Alabama and Montana already require masks in public. This should be universal. My hope has been that other governors would show the leadership to institute their own mask mandates, but so far that hasn’t happened,” she added.
“It’s time for Congress to step in. This is a matter of life or death, and partisan politics shouldn’t play a role.” Remember how there was no mention of deaths in the new release? Yet, we’re all just supposed to believe wearing a face mask is a matter of life or death. Yeah, OK, Dianne.
Lucky for us, President Trump opposes a national mask mandate and doesn’t seem to agree with the state level mandates either.
“I want people to have a certain freedom and I don’t believe in that, no,” Trump told Fox News’ Chris Wallace in an interview that will air on “Fox News Sunday.”

“I don’t agree with the statement that if everyone wore a mask, everything disappears,” Trump said.
“Dr. [Anthony] Fauci said don’t wear a mask, our surgeon general — terrific guy — said don’t wear a mask. Everybody was saying don’t wear a mask, all of a sudden everybody’s got to wear a mask. And as you know, masks cause problems too,” he went on.
Corporate America, however, has taken it upon themselves to do the Democrats bidding and, as WND reports, “a de facto national mask mandate was imposed on Walmart shoppers this week, with retail giants including Kroger, Target, Best Buy, CVS Health and Lowe’s also requiring that customers wear masks when they enter any U.S. store, according to CNBC. Many stores required masks before in accordance with local laws, but there was no nationwide policy.”
“To be clear, we’re not asking our store employees to play the role of enforcer,” CVS Chief Operating Officer Jon Roberts said in a statement. “What we are asking is that customers help protect themselves and those around them by listening to the experts and heeding the call to wear a face covering.”
There is growing pushback against state level mask mandates and it will only continue to grow the more the left insists on making this a national requirement. This is America but the second we no longer have the liberty and freedom to make our own decisions about our health, it will cease to be.
Now is the time to stand up and fight. This is about so much more than the coronavirus.
